Baby, it’s cold outside! Fight the bitter chill in the air with this weeks cocktail recipe, Honey Bourbon Hot Toddy! A variation of a traditional Hot Toddy that’s smooth, warm, and sweetened with a kiss of honey, it’s sure to melt your crappy week or flu symptoms away.
Honey Bourbon Hot Toddy Cocktail Recipe
2 tblsp honey
1 cup hot water
6 tblsp bourbon (I use Wild Turkey 81 or Bulliet)
2 lemon peels in curly strips
2 cinnamon sticks
Combine honey and water in a 2-cup measuring cup and stir until honey dissolves then add bourbon. Divide between 2 glasses and top with a strip of lemon peel. Stir each with a cinnamon stick and serve.
Simply combine a 750-ml bottle of bourbon, 4 cored and sliced Fuji apples, and 4 cinnamon sticks in a pitcher. Cover and let chill for 3 days. Then strain and enjoy. It’s great for sipping or can be used in place of straight bourbon in the above Toddy recipe using only 1 tbsp of honey.
