Below are 10 common myths about men that persist on circulating in the media and women’s locker rooms across the country.
1. Men are more direct than women in communicating their needs:
Bullshit, men keep that crap locked up just like the rest of us. They speak a good game but when it boils down to the “good stuff’ they have just as hard of a time expressing exactly what they want and need as women
2. Men are always “Ready to Go”
Men feel anxiety and pressure too. So if you’re hoping for a nooner in the office or a threesome for the first time, don’t be surprised if he’s not standing at attention. Could be he’s a little more nervous than he leads on
3. All men want a threesome with 2 women
Not true. Some men are gay and some men want to watch another man enjoy what they enjoy, their woman.
4. Men want younger women
Though it is a part of the male’s genetic make-up to be attracted to a woman in her “childbearing” years, some men prefer the company of a more mature woman. More mature women bring experience and confidence to the table, that for men works as more of an aphrodisiac then perky tata’s.
5. Men take lass time to get ready than women
I’m not even talking about the now obsolete metro-male. I bet even the Irish Spring guy hogs the bathroom. Between trimming nose hair and shaving the chin, the modern man seems to take his grooming seriously, so the days of women taking longer than men to get ready are over!
6. Men are not emotional
While men may not cry during episodes of The Biggest Loser, they still have feelings. Men are just taught by society early on to keep there emo side on the DL. Even though, anger is the most accepted emotion that men express openly they do have feelings of loss, pain, sadness, envy, etc. Just because men don’t openly express their emotions, doesn’t mean they don’t have them. I know, shocker! Right?
7. Men with big hands/ feet have big penises
Researchers have found that there is no correlation between the size of a man’s hands or feet and his unit (yea, that’s right, they checked). So much for sizing a man up before taking him down!
8. Men don’t communicate
It’s pretty common knowledge that men do not talk as much as women but that doesn’t mean your man is not communicating. Men communicate more through body language than through verbal communication. But in order to catch on to what a man is communicating, women have to be quiet and observe. Good luck with that!
9. Single men have more sex than married men
This one even shocked me. According to the Kinsey Institute, 27.1% of single men between the ages of 25-29 reported having sex a few times per month or weekly while their married counterparts reported 46.3%. When you look at men between the ages of 30-39 the rates get more dramatic with single men at 23.1% and married men at 47.3%. I am not sure who is having all this single sex the movies would have you believe! To watch movies about single men you would assume that single men have women lined up out there door, but apparently if a man wants to get laid more than once a month…get married. Sorry, my friends. The secret is out.
10. Men choose looks as the number one trait they look for in women
Men “communicate’ through their body language that looks are the number one priority when looking to hook-up. Not so, confidence reigns supreme; over youth and boobies. Men find confidence to be the sexiest characteristic that a woman can have. Let’s see if these men feel the same way when that confident woman voices her opinions and they are different from his own…just sayin!
